This policy explains what Metisyne LLC ("Metisyne", "we") collects when you visit metisyne.com, why we collect it and what you can ask us to do with it. It covers this website. The Metisyne product at app.metisyne.com is covered by the privacy terms in your customer agreement.

What we collect

We collect as little as we can, and only what you give us or what a website needs to work.

What you send us. When you use the contact form, you give us your work email and your message, and you can add your name and organization.
Free tools. When you finish a free tool and ask for your result, we keep your email and the name of the profile you built. Your answers stay in your browser, saved on your device so you can come back to them. We don't receive them.
Newsletter. If you sign up, we keep your email so we can send it.
Upvotes. If you upvote a question, answer or post, we set one cookie with a random id so you can't vote twice. It doesn't identify you.
Usage data. Our servers record basic request information, like your IP address and browser, to keep the site secure and to limit abuse. If we turn on analytics, we measure which pages are visited and how people find us, as described below.

Why we use it

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for advertising. We won't add you to marketing email unless you asked for it, and every email we send has a way to stop.

To answer your message and follow up on what you asked about.
To send you the result of a free tool, and, if you signed up, the newsletter.
To understand which pages help people, so we can make the site better.
To keep the site secure and working.

Cookies and analytics

The site works without cookies. The only one we set ourselves is the upvote cookie described above.

We may use an analytics service to measure visits. When we do, it sets its own cookies, and where the law requires it, we ask for your consent first. You can also block cookies in your browser; the site will still work.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run the site: hosting, analytics and email delivery. They process data only to provide their service to us.

We may also share information if the law requires it, or as part of a merger or sale of the company, in which case this policy continues to apply to it.

How long we keep it

We keep contact messages and emails for as long as we need them for the reason you gave them to us, and delete them when you ask. Server logs are kept for a short time for security.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it or stop using it, and you can unsubscribe from any email at any time. Depending on where you live, including the European Union, the United Kingdom and California, you may have further rights, and you can complain to your local data protection authority.

Security

We protect what we hold with encryption in transit and limited access. No system is perfectly secure, so we collect only what we need.

Children

This site is for businesses and isn't meant for anyone under 16. We don't knowingly collect their information.

International visitors

Metisyne is based in the United States, and the information you send us is processed there. Where the law requires it, we use appropriate safeguards for transfers.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of the page. If a change is significant, we'll say so on the site.
